This mobile is a true survivor. In the end of 2001 i went to Afghanistan on an Official tour and at that time the Afghan Wirless Communication Company(AWCC) started mobile services in Kabul and beleive me or not the first mobile phone that was ever used in Afghanistan was this Motorola Timeport P7389. This model was specailly imported to suite the needs of Afghan Mobile communications, surprisingly there was only one Booster for the whole city of Kabul and surroundings and still this piece of magic showed non stop signals. What really made this phone popular in a place like Afghanistan was that it is Tri band and works on GSM 900/1800/1900MHz, a powerful Antenna, Excellent battery backup, Light weight, and pretty good looks also. Although the ring tones are cheecky but all in all it is the best choice. i would say: This mobile has survived Afghanistan so it can survive anything in the whole wide world. thanks for reading nj
