I've had this phone for a few years now and occassional the screen seems to blank out and sometimes it freezes so i have to switch off the phone in order for it to work again. This might be due to putting the phone in a back jeans pocket as it is quite tight. This phone is quite good but it is not as good as the 8250. The infra-red function is excellent. You can send business cards and caller group graphics to other phones with infra-red. The games are the same as the older models of Nokia phones but it has a new game on it - rotation. You can spend hours on just playing the games. The calender is very useful as you can put in all your important dates and set an alarm for it so you won't forget it.

First of all I would want to salute the people in NOKIA, how do they come with ideas of phones like the 8210. Well till now it is the smallest mobile I have seen. I had a NOKIA 3210 and I saw the 8210 with one of my colleagues and I had an instant crush on it. At that time the price of a new boxed 8210 was about 13000 Rupees, so I had to patch up money for about three months to become the proud owner of a black 8210. Okay people If I have time and place I can write hundreds of lines about this mobile because it fascinates me in various ways. First of all its shape, it is very thin, small and short, still after this much little size the keypad has been beautifully designed to give the ultimate look on the face of this beauty. Although the and#8220;backlightand#8221; is green as any other normal NOKIA phone but I love green because it is relaxing for the eyes. If you are new to it than it will be a little tricky to find the power button in the beginning but you will cruise with it once you are familiar. The back cover can be opened very easily; I wish it had clips to displace the battery but who cares. I am always very sensitive about ring tones and this baby has 39 very special and some golden (old) rings, the best part is that you can load 6 of your personal ring tones through SMS or Composer and start grooving to it. This absolute piece of miniature has and#8220;VIBRAand#8221; and and#8220;INFRA REDand#8221; too, but that is not enough because if you scroll through the menu you can see that it has and#8220;WAPand#8221;, and#8220;PROFILESand#8221;, and#8220;CALENDARand#8221;, and#8220;CALCULATORand#8221;, and#8220;MESSEGINGand#8221;, and#8220;GAMESand#8221;, and a very reliable and#8220;CAL REGISTERand#8221; and and#8220;PHONE BOOKand#8221;. The best is the voice dialing with which I can just any friend within a second and all this with only one long touch of a button. Now I bet you would want to know some serious Hardware facts, it has a weight of 68gm, about 4 inches in length, .75 inches in thickness and about 2 inches in width. Still it has a very cramp free shape and every bit of detail is very well fitted and suited to the over all shape. The battery is about half the total weight and still on a full charge it can give you 72 hours of risk free backup and about 3 hours of uninterrupted talk time. I carry a spare charged battery with me and I donand#8217;t even feel the weight of it in my pockets, with the spare battery I can have 6 to 7 days of backup and about 6 hours of talk time without even thinking of a charger. Now letand#8217;s talk style and let me say that it is very attractive and compatible because I can buy a different color casing for the 8210 for about 150 Rupees. That is why for every shirt of mine I have a matching look for my 8210 and believe me I surprise lots of people and heads do turn when I pull it out of my pocket. Okay now make up your mind; go have one today and start and sleek and stylish mobile life, and no need to thank me. Happy communication folks.

I have had an 8210 for a year now and it is absolutely superb. It is small and light, it is smaller than your average phone to be exact it's dimensions are 101.5 by 44.5 by 17.4 mm and weighs an exraordinary 79 grams and even fits into your hand. It looks like a phone you'd want to be seen with, it has a huge vary of covers at very cheap prices, you can even get conversion covers to make it look like the stylish 8310 and the 8210's look alike the 8250 and there's the jazzy 6510 and finally the colorful 7210. It is very easy to get around the 8210 though sometimes it can be quite fidgety with the small keys especially when playing games and txting. When you are using the predective text input isn't that good so I wouldn't recommend it, stick to normal txting. You can download many games, ringtones and logos. The games are quite boring like snake 1, rotation and a few more. Sometimes when you're in the dark the keys don't light up as much as you want them to. The phone is very handy altogehter it isn't excellent and it isn't pathetic, I have had no problems with this phone though the 8210 will find it hard to compete with the new color screen phones, but in a few years it will come out of date, so if I was buying a phone right now and you have a lot of cash get something like the 8310 or the 7210, and if you don't have a lot of money get this phone you can get it easily between £100 to £150, you will not regret it.

This is a well-featured handset, the main feature of this phone has to be the sheer size. It will fit into your pocket and there is no danger of an exterior aerial breaking off. I rarely suffered poor signal on Vodafone and despite the slightly fiddly buttons got on very well with it. The Operating system is very friendly, offering handy voice-dialling, which has to be practiced to be used effectively and the more useful speeddial. The predictive text is less useful than on my Alcatel 511 but can be turned off easily. The main letdown of this phone is the poor battery life, now improved on with the 8310, don't think you can escape for the weekend without a charger as the battery will be dead long before Sunday evening which I found infuriating, this is the only reason i got rid of it as it was unworkable for me. If however you can live with charging every two days at least then this is a superb little handset, stylish and very practical. Interchangeable covers are available (I would only recommend the Nokia ones though) and a word of warning, loose change can easily ruin your cover/screen.

When you first catch a glimpse of the 8210 you get the feeling this is a good phone to have. With it being compact and stylish you would think this is the phone for me. but from my own experience and readin others experiences it turns out to be 1 of the worst phones nokia have produced. If its not overheating and freezing u can expect your 8210 at some stage to strat producing a blank screen which will result in the hassle of getting repacements (thats if u have insurance for it). So at the end of the day we have to ask ourselves is this stylish, compact Nokia worth our hard earned cash..I would have to say No. Add a few punds and go for the 8310 .. you will not regret it

The original dinky, fit-in-the hand phone still competes well with the new range of 'mini' phones. Still one of the most compact phones on the market with all the features you come to expect from a nokia. Unfortunately the phones bad points; a small screen and small buttons, don't make it ideal for text messaging. YOU MAY FIND YOURSELF CONSTANTLY SHIFTING FROM UPPERCASE TO lower case on the older models because their is no automatic adjustment. The phone still has great looks i.e. it is small and light and benefits from interchangable faschias. So if you want a small reliable phone which retails at less than the new super sleek WAP phones purchase a 8210!

I bought an 8210 just over a year ago, it has been a great little workhorse and used every day and only requires charging about twice a week, I often use the built in calendar for reminders of upcoming events. The predictive text on SMS is a dream to use.
