There's something a little bit clunky about opening the phone to answer when you're in a hurry, and you can't have it on vibrate and a tone at the same time, so it's easy to miss calls. Though the buttons are a bit on the small side, texts are easy to flick through quickly and the calender and to do lists are handy. It's a bit of a pain that you can't download fancy ringtones, and the selection on the phone isn't great, but all in all it's pretty good. It's a small but pretty hard little phone - mine's been dropped on the pavement a couple of times, into the sink briefly and lost at the bottom of countless bags but the worst that ever happenned was the battery falling off the back. |

This phone is excellent. I found it very easy to use whereas i found others harder and more complicated. It is easy to navigate your way through the many different features. The only drawback with this phone is that it isn't a picture phone. |

The A300 maintains a nice balance between good looks and functionality, without being overly expensive. Having the flip-phone function means that although it is a nice compact phone that easily slips into your pocket, it opens up to give you a nice big screen and a phone that fits nicely between your hand, ear and mouth. It might be aimed at the more business-like user, as if you like games and other gimicky extras then it might not be for you. But it has everything a phone should have: predictive text, vibration alert, a good calender, to-do list and WAP among other things. You certainly wouldn't regret owning this phone. |

I usually can't help but change my mobile every chance I get - whenever a new feature comes out, I want it!! But my Samsung has been mine for a year and a half now and I've no intention of letting it go!! When I got, I payed £130 for it which was a little excessive even for me - but even at that price it was well worth it. It has some of the best signal quality I've heard on a mobile - I get full signal when my friends can't even find a network! Another great feature is the sound for whoever your talking to. It cuts out all background sound so you could be standing on a train platform with the Euro going past and they'd still hear you perfectly as if you where on a land line (as much as we all hate to admit, it is usually better quality!!). The most important feature for me was its looks (what can I say - I'm a girl!!). It's tiny, and that silver and blue front is just gorgeous. You can buy this phone now for nothing on most networks which is an absolute bargain!! Well? What are you still reading this for? Go buy it!! :) |

Silver, compact and light! What more could you ask for... well... predictive text that remembers the words you have already entered. Ok, so the A300 doesn't recognise 'netball' and won't allow you to remember words, but it is a solid phone, just listen to the sound when you open and shut that 'clam' design. Yes, the battery could last a little longer (Samsung... having a second 'slim' battery, you could have made a separate charger rather than needing to plug it into the phone!?!). It is annoying that it doesn't vibrate when you get text messages, but it is beautiful. The buttons have a firm 'click' to them, although the 'compass' button may prove awkward for those with long fingernails. I know the ringtones are dull and though you can add two of your own, you need to know your way round a music sheet or have a piece of software to convert into key strokes for you!. I love the blue outer screen and it has some useful functions (calendar, memo etc) for those needing help with organising themselves (guilty as charged!). With no downloadable goodies (I want a phone not a mobile fun park!) the teen element won't be hooked, but if you want a stylish, well constructed and practical phone then you could do far worse. The A300 is not as well refined as it could be but it is well built (losing count of the number of times a have dropped it!) and on the whole it was a good buy. |

I got one of these last year and the size of the phone is ideal for handbags and pockets etc, one of the things i didnt like was that the keypad was difficult to use as they were so near to the phone and its a problem if i have grown my nails!! I also wasnt so keen on the predictive text because i found it took me longer to get to small caps etc when i was tex messaging. Apart from that it is a good phone to have but i think it is a good phone for a bloke myself. |

I
bought this phone around a year ago, just as it was released in shops.
Looks wise, it is very attractive, small, silver, and really nice lights
( Especially the blue screen ). It is packaged with 2 batteries, one
slim and one larger one. The larger battery doesnt look as good, but
lasts around a week. You would be lucky to get 2 days out of the smaller
one. There is a lot of features, and they are presented well. The finish
of the phone looks good for the first couple of months, but in reality
it is very fragile, taking only a small knock to take a chip out of
it. If you absolutely must have this phone, i recommend selling it before
it looks too shabby. They still sell for a good amount 2nd hand, probably
due to the number of people who still want them. |

Sleek, stylish, eye-catching. Perfect words to describe the samsung A300.... from a distance. Oh how disappointing. For a teenager, this phone really does bite. It sounds dumb, but really, Nokia have hit the nail on the head with all their games and screensavers and odds and bobs which just leave Samsung standing. What is it with some manufacturers who cotton on too late. I bought this my Samsung in January this year. Not only is it boring ( 45 UN-imaginative, chronic ringtones) but it also carries a fault, one shared by all A300. It makes up it's own security code which you have to get through your networkprovider. It took 2 months to get it unlocked by Orange. I sold it 3 weeks ago - was lucky to get £95 for it. Waste of money if you are looking for more than just a phone but perfect if you are looking for something 'swish'. Not a great phone for texting. If you are used to Nokia controls get a Nokia. If not, then make sure that you buy it cheap or with low line-rental. its not really worth the grief. Althogh it's small, it's fat. It bulges out of pocket making girls say "is that your phone in your pocket" and then looking embarrassed and dissapointed when you say yes.... A phone for the poser but not for the average laut. Go for the Nokia 5210. It's alternative, and the orange screen is definatly gonna be in. Thanks for reading and i hope i've been helpful. Please excuse any spelling errors!!! |
